We've watched his favorite M. Night film, and now it's time to watch mine. Chris Stuckmann is back to dive into The Village, a romance advertised as a horror that's secretly a Christmas movie starring a live-action Joker, an animated Joker, and a young Blurry Eisenberg. The cinematography, the music, and the performances are all top-notch, but it does have a few issues and once again Chris brings some great insight and fun facts to share.
This is an audio commentary ONLY. It is meant to be watched along with the movie so you can raise or lower the volume on the commentary or the movie itself as you wish.

Is there going to be a the boys season 2 commentary track high lights video?
Сарын өмнөChanCeNecK
@Pretty Much It (oh, and btw. the other comment I´ve made the other day. .. Yeah, that´s just my sense of humour, I wasn´t implying to make fun of this movie in any way shape or form, I love it, too. It was more to make fun of the Scary Movie spoof itself, actually.... Anyway, I wanted to prove a friend, that I actually commented tha and I´ve looked and it´s not there anymore. But it´s okay, I can respect that.........)

man... i wish i was there with you guys because i relate so much. i remember being floored when the alien jumped out at the birthday party in signs. swing away Merril was like the highlight of my childhood. and how i was more hype for this movie as a kid than ive ever been after seeing signs and how much i loved it. in fact ive never been so excited over a movie since. and the village is my favorite M. Night movie!!! i absolutely adore this movie and watch it at least once a year. love the commentary guys.

I hate that when my class watched it, I happened to have missed the end for some reason I don't remember... and when I asked how it ended, everyone was all like "Yeah, they went to Walmart" which completely ruined the whole thing for me cause that's just ignorance from them. I liked the movie, hated how it was shown to me.

I specifically remember rewatching this movie a few years ago, and seeing a scene I didn’t notice the first time I watched the movie. At some point she, or someone, looks up into the sky and sees an airplane flying by. And I remember thinking like.. the ending of the movie isn’t shocking at all with that knowledge. That scene happened right? I didn’t dream it?

all the hate around this movie centered around the twist and the twist inside a twist and blah blah blah. the score (MY ABSOLUTELY FAVE SCORE OF ALL TIME), bdh, joaquin, the love story, and the cinematography are overlooked, and it's such a shame. there's far more to this movie than the twist ending(s). people went into this movie wanting to hate it, and they took shyamalan's misstep with the double twist and ran with it.

I never got the twist because for some reason I assumed from the very beginning that this movie was set in modern times lol idk why like I thought that these guys in the village lived in that old fashioned just because they lived like in the countryside and apart from civilization but outside the world was normal without anyone knowing about the village

I always loved the open ending. It's clear that Lucius survives, but just imagining how Ivy is going to explain everything, without the benefit of having SEEN any of it, is a cool thing to think about.
27 өдрийн өмнөMc FISTO
If that is also the twist for the next resident evil game iam going to eat sponge. Mark my words.
27 өдрийн өмнөDan Smart
This is a great movie then there was the twist, if we could separate them I would be 100% on board. I actually think if you remove all references to the modern world and have her leave, fight the guy in a suit and then have her returned with medicine it would be better. Leave the twist a blank. I think this is M. NIGHT'S trajectory. Unbreakable good all the way, Sixth Sense good all the way, Signs good the very last second of the twist, The Village good until the twist shows up, Lady in the water good until they say the word NARF, The Happening good until they came up with the concept of plants killing people and Marky Mark emoting, Avatar good until someone said let's get M. Night to write and direct Avatar: The Last Airbender.
27 өдрийн өмнөSkylar Watching Movies
15:36 I also think the shot adds to the tension of the scene since the security guard guy is trying to get the medicine without his boss noticing, so this shot keeps us on the edge of our seat hoping that M. Night won't look over.
